We are very happy and grateful to announce that we have been awarded a further £372,000 from the Government’s Culture Recovery Fund. This grant will help us to manage the ongoing financial impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the Company.
The grant will be used to support the Company in numerous ways by helping to cover lost income and increased touring costs. It will also help towards the delivery of our planned spring tour and digital projects.
We are amongst more than 2,700 recipients to have benefitted from this latest round of awards from the Culture Recovery Fund. The Fund was set up originally in 2020 to help cinemas, performance venues, museums, heritage sites and other cultural organisations to deal with the immediate challenges of the pandemic including months of closures and cancellations.
Our Chief Executive, Mark Skipper DL said: “We are grateful to the Government once more for this significant grant from the Culture Recovery Fund. This will provide invaluable support as we continue to navigate and hopefully emerge from these challenging times.
With this support and the Government’s roadmap for the reopening of cultural venues, we are now optimistically looking ahead to what we hope are better days just around the corner and are especially happy to be planning to begin touring again in June.”
