Leandro was born in Brazil and raised in Italy. He trained at Spazio Danza Cicagna in Italy and English National Ballet School. He joined Northern Ballet in 2019.

Where were you born and raised?
I was born in Brazil and raised in Italy.
At what age did you start dancing?
I started dancing hip hop and break dance when I was 10 years old and I started ballet when I was 13.
Where did you train?
I started my training in Spazio Danza Cicagna in Italy and then joined English National Ballet School in 2016.
Which Northern Ballet role would you most like to dance?
I really like The Great Gatsby and really want to dance it.
What do you like most about being a dancer?
The emotions and sensation of being on stage, the freedom of the movements and the steps, and meeting new people.
If you could adapt one work into a ballet, what would it be?
Mary Poppins.
What is your favourite book?
American Sniper by Chris Kyle.
What is your favourite post-show meal?
Italian pizza.
How do you like to relax?
Usually I start by listening to music but I also like drawing and going for a walk.
