Learn more about Jackson
Where were you born and raised?
I was born in Montreal, Canada. I left to study ballet in Toronto when I turned 11 so I feel that I grew up in the city.
At what age did you start dancing?
I started dancing, and not just ballet, around 9.
What is your favourite post-show meal?
Something quick so I don’t stay up to late! During performances I’m particularly mindful about getting enough rest and fueling myself with the right food.
Career highlights
Performing Apollo. I feel very fortunate to have learnt this iconic role and be coached by Ib Andersen who was the last person Balanchine taught it to. It was also my first principal role so the whole experience has a special place in my heart.
